Anna Lori Hoffman
Anna Lori Hoffman, 40, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2021, in her Erie home. She was born on April 5, 1981, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Llewellyn R. Hoffman Jr. and Susan A. Hoffman.
Anna graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School, Class of 1999. Anna’s creative and artistic talent lead her to pursue a higher education in art through the Pennsylvania College-Art Design in Lancaster, PA. After some time, Anna moved to Erie, Pennsylvania in an effort to bring her family closer together. This enabled her and her children to a build closer bond with her mother, who was battling cancer. Anna and her mother held each other up while they went through their own battles. Like most, Anna went through a rough patch in her life where there didn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Then, with the help of her loved ones, she overcame it and stayed strong for the sake of her family. Anna was sober for 6 years and was chairing/leading programs through NA. She continued to inspire and guide others in their journey to recovery. For approximately the past three years, she was employed by Tops Friendly Market as a Deli Clerk. She enjoyed serving the community in various ways as well as the company of her co-workers.
Anna had unconditional love of animals and would fearlessly rescue wild animals in need. She was always there for friends & family. She was truly a selfless individual and made herself available to anyone in need to talk. Some can be quoted stating “Anna touched my life in a way that I cannot begin to explain”. She was stubborn like the other women in the family, and sarcasm was her second language, but was also hardworking, caring, and easy to talk to/open up to. She had a versatile sense of humor and was known to bring laughter to those struggling to even smile. She was a collector of oddities and inherited her mother’s love of antiques.
Above all else that she did and will be remembered for, Anna was a wonderful mom to her three beautiful children. No matter what they were going through, Anna always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart when it came to her three girls. Autumn, Cerrie, and Sage were Anna’s strength, motivation, and most of all her proudest accomplishments in life!
Anna was predeceased by her father, Llewellyn R. Hoffman Jr., and her mother, Sue Hartmann Hoffman. Anna is survived by her boyfriend Daniel Berns, her sister Katherine Ann Hoffman Charles, and her three beautiful girls Autumn 16 years old, Cerrie 6 years old, and Sage 4 months old.
