Nicholas James Hlawati
Nicholas James Hlawati, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 17, 2021 after fighting as hard as he could with cancer.
Nick was the kindest soul, known as "such a good guy." From his hobbies to his campfires, he just wanted to share his joys with those he loved most.
Nick was a talented artist and guitarist, and a member of the 99th Infantry Division reenactors who had incredible amounts of militaria. He was also an avid collector of all things Star Wars, Batman, and Lego. He loved sharing all his stuff with the kids because he was always a big kid himself.
Everyone you talk to has such fun memories of Nick that when you start telling stories they bring on more stories of hilarious happenings and unforgettable recollections. The best part of the stories is all the laughs and smiles he has brought us.
He is survived by his mother, Denise M. Hlawati; three sisters, Melissa M. (Hlawati) Diaz, Elisabeth A. (Hlawati) Harding, and Jennifer L. Hlawati; a daughter whom he was so proud of, Morrighan E. Hlawati, and many nieces and nephews, Ayden Hlawati, Gabrial Diaz, Trey Kitelinger, Liam Harding, Delaney Harding, and Makenna Harding, whom he loved so much. He is also survived by his best friend, Matt Vogt, and very close friends, Brad and Julie McLaughlin.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, James E. Hlawati.
He will sadly be missed by so many as he touched the lives of ones he didn't even know. Nick had a big heart and a beautiful soul and would just want everyone to cherish the memories and keep telling the stories and to not be sad for him.
A memorial service will be held by his daughter at a later date for friends and family to come together to smile, laugh, and remember.
