Penelope Ann Greco
Penelope Ann Greco passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the age of 76. She was born on May 31, 1944 to the late Basil and Marion (Strike) Steblin.
Penny attended Harborcreek High School. She worked for Two Friends Italian Market for 9 years until 2010. She purchased the café at the Erie Public Library which became K&P Concession. In this time, she became friends with many people. Many would stop by just to say hello and chat while she prepared their lunch or while getting coffee, no matter how many people were in line! When covid-19 closed the library, she kept busy playing cards with friends.
She leaves behind her son, Ronald “Joey” Cooper, Jr. and his partner Yusuf Mateen, and her daughter, Kimberly A. Wingard (whose father, Ronald J. Cooper, Sr. passed away 4 days earlier on February 11, 2021). She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Cameron (Alisa), Ashley (Matt), Paige (Nick), Camilla, Mary, and Anthony, and 4 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her good friends and fellow card players, Donna Brown, Patty Cornaki, and her great, lifelong friend, Joe Monaco.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dana Adolphson.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
