Larry Herman Driggs

Larry Herman Driggs, age 80, of Wattsburg, PA, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center.

He was born on November 19, 1937 in Jerome, PA, a son of the late Herman S. and Kathlyn M. (Stotler) Driggs.

Larry graduated from Academy High School, Erie, PA in 1955.  He joined the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1956 to 1959.  He began work at LORD Corporation in 1960 as an engineer and retired after 37 years.

Larry never outgrew his love for racing.  He enjoyed hunting and was passionate about cycling.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  It is important to know that Larry was one of the kindest and most compassionate men you could ever meet.  Although he had a dry wit and sense of humor, he never missed an opportunity to help if someone had a need.  He always provided well for his family and encouraged each one with his gentle kind words.  He will be sorely missed by family and dear friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bambling Driggs; his siblings, Donna Buzzard (late Robert) of Seaside, OR, Gary Driggs (Janet) of Spartansburg, PA; his children, John Driggs of Harborcreek, PA, Melissa Powell (Stefan) of North Ridgeville, OH, Scott Driggs (Nea) of Troy, OH, Sharon Saxon Cardman of Girard, PA, Charlene Saxon Haggard (Matthew) of Meridian, ID, Marian Saxon Rhodes (late Nelson) of Chapel Hill, NC, John Saxon (Patricia) of Hudson, OH, and fifteen grandchildren.

There will be no viewing or visitation.
