Deborah Ruth (Lang) Cleer
On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, Deb Cleer, loving wife, mother, and Grammy, peacefully passed away at the age of 75.
Born to Robert and Ruth Lang, Deb’s joyous presence entered the world on May 24, 1945 in Watertown, NY.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Clarence Cleer - the love of her life. She is also survived by her beloved children, John (Terri), Laura (Todd), Andy (Ann), and stepchildren, Bert (Mary), Tim (Barb), Dan (Missy), and Debra Farno. Her essence will carry on through her grandchildren whom she deeply loved - Bill, Ellen, Carlie, Michael, and Joey.
She was a case manager and interim director at the AIDS Council, a founder of the Well Being Center, a healer, an ordained minister, and a champion of those who suffered. She was also a proud friend of Bill W. for 18 years. Most importantly, her loved ones remember Deb as a free-spirited rebel who had a true zest for life. She dedicated much of her life as a quest to make everyone’s lives better.
We will all deeply miss her but are comforted knowing she is dancing with the angels. A private service will be held for the family and a celebration of life will occur in the summer of 2021.
