Gerald Edward “Ed” Whitling, Jr., age 56, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Born October 25, 1965 in Corry, he was the son of Gerald Whitling, Sr. and the late Virginia (Rhodes) Whitling.

Ed was a VHL Warrior.  He enjoyed puzzles and loved rescuing cats.  Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bethany; his children, Crystal Whitling, Patrick McDonald, Gerald Whitling III, and Tatiana Whitling; his brother, Walter Whitling, and his grandchildren, Avary Whitling and Leon Whitling.

In addition to his mother, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Clarissa Hoyt and his grandparents, Walter and June Rhodes.

There will be no viewing or visitation. A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at a later time.
