Natalie (Natalia) Fuchs
Natalie (Natalia) Fuchs, age 80, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, June 5th, 2016 in Erie, PA at the home of her son, Mark, where she had been under the care of her loving family.
Born in Russia on October 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Nikolai and Magdalena (Buchman) Bolschow. Natalia attended school in Europe before moving to the United States in 1951. She graduated from the Harrisburg School of Beauty, working as a hair stylist at various beauty salons from 1956 through 1991. Natalia spoke Russian, German and English.
She married John Fuchs, Jr. on August 11, 1956. She was a loving wife and faithfully cared for her husband during his own fight with cancer. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1992.
Natalia enjoyed being a Lunch Mother at Good Shepherd School and Trinity High School, the Hampden Township Civic Club, and volunteering with the Girl Scouts. She was an artist, painter, and craft maker. She was a master gardener and landscaper, and famous for canning her own fruits and vegetables. She was an avid bridge player, an elegant dresser, and had a fantastic sense of humor. She was well known for her creative cooking along with her authentic Russian and German dishes.
She is survived by two sons, David Fuchs and his wife Claudia of Fort Wayne, IN and Mark Fuchs and his wife Teika of Erie, PA; three daughters, Kim Hamilton and her husband Steve of St Petersburg, FL, Joann Gula of New Cumberland, PA, Patricia Aulenbach and her husband Robert of Harrisburg, PA; one brother, Paul Kozoroz and his wife Glenda of Cleveland, GA; eight grandchildren; two nephews, and one niece.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill, PA from 10:30AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30AM.
Private interment will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
