Larry Lee “Lo Gear” Newhard
Larry L. “Lo Gear” Newhard, age 68, of Edinboro, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA.
Born in Erie on August 23, 1955, he was the son of the late Dorance A. Newhard and Betty Lois (Stafford) Newhard Nelson.
Larry was a graduate of Townville High School and Crawford County Vo-Tech, where he studied Auto Mechanics. He had worked for Hobb’s Lumber in Edinboro, where he was a delivery truck driver, he was a delivery truck driver for Gary Waits and Sons in Waterford, was a truck driver for Tallman Trucking in McKean, and drove school bus. He also was a farm hand for Warnshuis Farms in Edinboro, crushed cars at the scrapyard in Meadville, and was a mechanic at the Ford dealership. Larry was a Pumper Operator, Radio Dispatcher, and a life-long member of the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his sister, Pamela D. Drake (Timothy); his brothers, Stephen E. Newhard and Daniel L. Newhard; 6 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Per Larry’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
