Sherman Levant Stanbro, Jr.
Sherman L. Stanbro, Jr., age 61, of Corry, passed away on October 6, 2019.
Born in Corry on October 29, 1957, he was a son of Wanda A. (Buell) Stanbro and the late Sherman L. Stanbro, Sr.
Sherman was a 1975 graduate from Corry High School. In 1977, he graduated from Williamsport Community College with an Associate Degree in Carpentry and Construction. He went to work for Cooper Energy in Corry for 10 years, then was employed by Snap-Tite Hose, now All American Hose, in Union City for 29 years until his retirement in 2017. Sherman enjoyed gardening, archery hunting, reading and writing poetry, reading the Bible, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He loved spending time with his family, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC. Sherman was married to Marsha L. Clabbatz on August 26, 1978 in Corry.
Sherman is survived by his wife, Marsha L. (Clabbatz) Stanbro; his mother, Wanda A. Stanbro of North East; his son, Shawn Lee Stanbro and his wife, Sara of Union City; his daughter, Julie Keil of Corry; his brother, Stuart Stanbro and his wife, Kristy of North East; his twin sister Sharon Proctor and her husband, James of Corry, and his sister Susan Culver and her husband, Lee of Spartansburg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Cole, Kendra, Caleb, Shane, and Chance, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Sherman L. Stanbro, Sr., he was preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Lee Stanbro; his maternal grandparents Eric and Edith Buell, and his paternal grandparents Arlene Ross and John Stanbro.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Sherman at the Relevant Church, 100 W. South Street, Corry, PA 16407 on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Reverend Les Utegg will be officiating.
