Florence Arlene (Nicklow) Elliott

Florence Arlene (Nicklow) Elliott, age 63, of Erie, PA, passed away on July 28, 2017.

Born February 5, 1954 in Uniontown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Marguerite (Nelson) Nicklow.

Florence married Charles E. Elliott on August 27, 1977.

She taught knitting, embroidery, and crocheting, and she loved to dance.  She was an avid reader and writer, having written and published two books.  Her family will always have fond memories of family reading nights.  She loved dogs, loved to laugh, and appreciated good humor.  She enjoyed going on day trips with her family. 

Florence was a devout Christian woman, loved being a mom and grandmother, and always had a strong focus on her family. 

In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by 2 sons, Charles Nathan Elliott and his wife, Jacqueline, of State College, PA, and Kevin Elliott and his wife, Kristin, of New Castle, PA;  3 daughters, Meghann Knob and her husband, Timothy, of Altoona, PA, Lauren Ertsgaard and her husband Ryan, of Erie, and Jensyn Elliott of Erie;  1 half brother, Dwayne Nelson and his wife, Marlene, of Uniontown, PA; 1 sister in law, Penny Nicklow of Lemont Furnace, PA; 5 grandchildren, Tiernan, Maeve, Eliza, Serenity, and Timmy; 6 nephews, and 2 nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond L. Nicklow, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Realife Assembly of God, 3902 W. 38th St., Erie, PA 16506, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM, followed by a time of visiting and fellowship until 1:00 PM.

Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Road, Erie, PA 16509, is assisting the family with arrangements.
