Fred Brown, age 76, of Edinboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at home, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 3, 1944 in Punxsutawney, PA, he was the son of the late Findley and Elizabeth (Smith) Brown of Summerville, PA.

Fred was a meat cutter, retiring as the Meat Manager at the Edinboro Giant Eagle.

Fred is survived by his loving and caring wife of 55 years, Karen (Cole) Brown; his sister, Nedra Windsor, and his brother, Paul (Vickie) Brown.  He is also survived by his children, Kevin (Lori) Brown, Kimberly Laney, and Michelle (Craig) Lyons; 3 grandchildren, Aaron (Kylie) Brown, Kaylee (Paul) Orr, and Amanda Davenport; 4 surviving great grandchildren, Ayden Brown, Gracelynn Brown, Eligh Orr, Jonah Orr, and another little Orr on the way.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mervin Himes, and a great granddaughter, Hope Marie Brown.

There will be no calling hours.  Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting with arrangements.
