'Leave me lone leave me lone on on I lived my life. Now how about you live yours.
I go in peace I go with honor. I've taught you well so stay strong and humbled. so no need to shed...tears of sorrow but tears of joy... my loved creations I think I did my job..
we'll meet again only time will tell until then I wish you the best and fare well..no more dwelling...the lights has dimmed but it will shine bright in you again.. I love you all from the bottom of my heart but as of today we must part..'
Johnnie Lee Arrington, Sr.
Johnnie Lee Arrington, Sr., born to the union of Hollis and Hannah Mae Arrington on October 2, 1956 in Eucutta, MS, transitioned from this earth on November 15, 2017.
Most of his life was spent working as a lumberjack and mechanic until he retired in 2003. He retired to Erie to be with his children.
Johnny was a Jack-of-all Trades, there was no task that he could not complete. He was a mechanic the majority of his life but he also had a small appliance repair business. When he wasn't working he was fishing and listening to his blues, and in his younger life was dancing and shooting pool. He and his dance troop "The Sugar Hill Gang" traveled and won many dance contests.
He retired to Erie in 2003 to be with his children. He dedicated his life to his children and family. Once, Johnnie rushed into a burning house to make sure no one was inside. This was just the norm for him. If he could help someone, he would.
Today the world has lost one of God's greatest gifts - a person who put others first, before himself.
Johnnie is survived by 10 children, Tara Dean of Meridan, MS, Marlo Arrington of Hattisburg, MS, Patina (Exodus) Arrington of Gulfport, MS, JaKendal Arrington, Katrina, Aundrea, Aleisha, LeQuinn, Johnny Jr., and Jamond Arrington, all of Erie, PA, and a special daughter, Marshelle Keyes of Hattisburg, MS.
