Rebecca Askins

Rebecca Askins, 60, of Erie, PA passed away on December 4, 2024. Born on December 24, 1963, in Erie, PA, Rebecca was a mother, devoted grandmother, a cherished friend, and an inspiring individual who touched the lives of everyone she met.

A breast cancer survivor, Rebecca exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life, inspiring those around her with her unwavering courage. She had a love for the Green Bay Packers. She also had a deep passion for music, which she often shared with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with joy and laughter.

Rebecca is survived by her beloved children, Nicholas Rodgers (Leah Snyder), Jen Goodard, and Wendy Rodgers (Nick Fluegel); her cherished grandchildren, Leah Schneider (Jeremiah), Taylor Askins, CJ Askins, and Riley Askins, and her siblings, Roberta Maske (Ed), Ronald Askins (Crystal Clausen), Greg Askins (Shelly), Shelly Tadder (Jimmy Lee), Jan Lockwood (Jamie), and John Askins).

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Askins; her father, John Sonny Askins; her brother, Mikey Askins; her oldest son, Chad Askins, and her husband, (Larry Burnett).

Rebecca shared a special bond with her long-term boyfriend, Al Herrington, who provided her with love and companionship.

A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on January 11th, 2025 from 1 PM to 4 PM. This will take place at The Polish Falcons Club located at 602 East 19th Street, Erie, PA.  Friends and family will come together to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought into their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/99c82725), or directly to Askins Cremation Funeral Services. 

Rebecca will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the positive impact she had on everyone around her. Her love for music and her generous spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
