Vincent Hoyt, Sr.
Vincent Hoyt Sr., age 64, passed away at UPMC Hamot on February 2, 2023 after suffering a heart attack.
Vince was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. During his time in the Army he served with the 82nd Airborne Division. Vince’s experience in the Army played a very important role in his life. He frequently pointed out that the Army taught him the value of discipline, teamwork, and investing in a cause larger than himself. One of his fellow 82nd Airborne soldiers said of Vince after his passing “he was always soft spoken, hard working, and strong as a mule.”
Vince was always known as a hard worker, a lover of professional football, and fan of all things John Wayne. It only seems right to send him off with a quote from The Duke - “courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.”
Vince is survived by his three children, Vince Jr., Cody, and Adrianna. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Carlie and Rosemary.
The family will he holding a wake to celebrate his life in the summer of 2023.
