Betty Darlene (Jackman) Braswell
Betty Darlene (Jackman) Braswell, age 71, of Corry, PA, was taken from us on July 21, 2024 after a 3-year excruciating battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis that led to Pulmonary Hypertension. She had been with AseraCare Hospice since November and loved each and every one there. She felt especially close to her Nurse Practitioner Sophia Pemberton, nurse Maureen Beers, and Chaplain Paula.
She was born in Union City, PA on July 30, 1952, the daughter of the late Glen and Nettie (Ingalls) Jackman.
Betty’s husband, constant companion and caregiver, Bobby, whom she married on February 14, 1980 was by her side, allowing her the freedom and support to live her last days as she wanted. He was also there by her side, comforting her during her final moments.
Betty attended Corry High School and had worked at Corry Micronics and Medsource. Her favorite job was working outside on the potato harvester for Sill’s Potato Farm.
Betty is survived by her husband and best friend, Bobby Braswell; her sister and favorite “Celtic twin”, Donna Cameron (Greg); her sister, Judy Jackman; her nephew, Brian Jackman; her nieces, Carla and Marlo Torrelli; her aunt, Dorothy Jackman, and many cousins.
She had a special love for her rescue dog, Charlie, and all the animals she and Bobby had.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death six months ago by her beloved son, Aron.
Per her request, there will be no services.
Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting with arrangements.
