Robert Eric Youngberg
Robert Eric Youngberg, age 84, a past resident of Waterford, PA and current resident of Springboro, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2021, surrounded by his son in law, daughter, granddaughter, and his dog, Roscoe.
‘Eric’ was born June 25, 1937 in Erie PA, the son of the late Kenneth E. and Jeanette (Alfsen) Youngberg.
Eric was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he worked for the New York Central and Conrail Railroads and retired from General Electric, Erie, following a career of 35 years there. Eric was devoted to and particularly enjoyed spending time at every opportunity with his family and grandchildren, as well as his extended family, Benny Benkowski, Bill Haibach, Louise Haibach, the late Chuck Skopow, and many other lifelong friends.
Eric, besides his parents, was preceded in death by his much beloved wife of 60 years, the late Divie (Marucci) Youngberg who passed away on December 1, 2020.
Eric is survived by his children Patti Howard (Husband Jim), Robert Eric Youngberg II (Wife Chris Ann), and Mary Kostovick (Husband Paul). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cody Florian (Marissa), Michael Howard, Carmella Kostovick, Kenny Youngberg, Abby Youngberg and two great grandchildren, Deano and Brooks Florian. He is additionally survived by his brother, Dr. Arne Youngberg (Patricia), as well as a niece, his dog (Roscoe), Bobby Rushton, Cheryl Brown, and many other cousins.
