James H. Yost
James H. Yost, age 92, passed away in Harborcreek, PA on November 22, 2016.
Born in Lowville, PA, on September 15, 1924, he was a son of the late Philetus and Mildred (Bailey) Yost.
James began painting as a youngster, helping his father. He was a member of Painter's Local #549 until his retirement. James was an honest and hard working person. There wasn't a task he wouldn't tackle - plumbing, electrical, woodworking, and carpentry. He single-handedly built two homes and remodeled many over his lifetime.
James proudly served in the U.S. Army in World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Ewiak) Yost; 2 daughters, Linda and Melinda; 2 sons, Timothy and James, Jr.; and 5 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Yost and Bernard Yost.
He will be sadly missed by many, especially his wife of 50 years.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Brevillier Village and personnel at Regional Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to their husband and father.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
